cardigan pattern anyone?

I found this great sweater knit at Joann's and I just have to make a cardigan out of it. I'm thinking I'll use rhinestone buttons. What do you think? Can anyone suggest a cardigan pattern? I thought I could just use a knit top pattern and adjust it. I could use some advice.

  1. I don't know what style you like, but Kwik Sew has a new pattern out that is very popular in my sewing group - KS 3693 view A. It's easy to make and to wear and looks great on a variety of body types. At least 5 women in my group have made one. I keep meaning to whip one up, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I love the colors in your knit!

  2. Jalie patterns (jalie.com) have a a great cardigan - Jalie #2919, very quick to make, yet rather elegant - I think it would work well for your amethyst knit...

  3. Burda world of fashion April 110 design 117 is a fabulous cardigan. See Maryanna's version at http://marynannasews.blogspot.com/2010/09/trench-cardy.html for details.

  4. Love the plummy purples in this. I just received Jalie 2919 and I can't wait to make it, but it sounds like you want more of a traditional style with the buttons you've envisioned. Will look forward to seeing what you decide on.

  6. Love your fabrics! What a pretty cardigan they will turn into. I don't know of a pattern, seeing as how i don't sew for grownups.
