
Here is a close up of the jacket front. I used a navy blue wool gabardine , which when pressed shows all the seams ....grrrrrr!..... I had this fabric in my stash and I really wanted a navy jacket. I wish I had the zippers on the sleeve like the pattern indicated, but it looks okay without. I really had fun making this and as per Burda the instructions for the lining in the peplum were crazy, so I made that part up as I went.

Beautiful jacket - I think I'll try it next winter. I agree with you about Burda instructions - you have to rely on instinct. Can I suggest that you wear this jacket with a lower neckline in order to draw the eye to the beautiful lapel and design.
