Okay I made this little number several weeks ago, but I haven't had much time for blogging. I am trying to step out of my boring box and try a few new things and well here is one. It is made from a polyester chiffon that I purchased from Joann's. It has a bit of brown in it which I wanted to go with a brown skirt that is in the works. Love this pattern!!!!! I will post a picture of me in it when I finish the skirt.

Here is a look at the collar point. The technique I used is from one of Nancy Zeiman's books, I checked out of the library once. Its called "the magic collar" It is great for sheer fabric .

Here is a close up of the neck. All the seams inside are french, and I bound the armhole seam with bias strips of the fabric.
Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'm sure it will look beautiful with your brown skirt. Cannot wait to see.

ReplyDeleteI agree with all the comments. Your blouse is amazing. From the color and fabric choice to the collar, it is simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty blouse. You did a nice job on that collar stand, which is not always an easy area to sew well.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and I can see it on you! Beautiful!
