This is my new favorite knit shirt pattern. It is so easy. I did not want to use a double needle stitching at the hem, so I looked up the reviews of this pattern and I took Amanda's version of sewing a band at the sleeve end and at the hem. This way it eliminates the need for any topstitching. I thought with the busy pattern of the fabric it would look to busy. I really like the results.
You can't tell in the pictures but the fabric is navy and light blue. I really needed something navy, and when I found this fabric at Joann's, I fell in live with it. So did a lot of other people, because I bought the last yard.

A view of the back.

close up of the front. You can see the easing at the sides, it should be a bit lower.
I love your top! The shape is very flattering and the print is great. I really like the idea of the band instead of the hem... I'm gonna have to try this- looks great!
ReplyDeleteAnother great top
