McCall's skirt 5590

My gray skirt I finally finished to go with my Burda jacket. It is made out of a rayon/poly blend with a little stretch, which I don't like because the waist grows the longer I have it on. I should have used stay tape. Oh well I think I will wear this skirt a lot!!
Detail of the front
reinforcement of the inside vent
I used french seams on the lining sides
Mitered corners on back vent

Inside facing bound with striped lining. I lined this skirt with a butter colored bemberg that I got at Gorgeous things.
I had some striped lining left over from another project, so I bound the hem and facings with it. I underlined the skirt with a cotton batiste . Not my first choice, but I already had it.

  1. Very nicely constructed. I will remember how you reinforced the vent.
