I found this fabric at Joann's. It was from the linen-like section. I wanted real linen but this was the exact color that I was looking for. It probably would have been better for a blouse It is a little flimsy, but I made it work. I cut a bias piece of muslin for a sleeve head. I had a hard time not wanting to put in a shoulder pad. I like this technique in light weight fabric.

Really nice looking jacket. Love the red fabric.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking jacket.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that this jacket looks better with extra length. I like the stylin a lot, but have felt that it might look a little short and boxy.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty jacket. If that fabric is Jo's Amaretto, I love it!
ReplyDeleteLovely jacket. The fit is great and the color looks wonderful on you.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty jacket. You'll get a lot of wear from that color.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is really pretty. I like that style a lot. Did I miss which issue and number it is? I have been trying to find a jacket pattern I like. Maybe I overlooked this one because it was too short!
